Last Wednesday Heidi went in for the sonogram to find out the sex of our baby. I was away at a conference so I couldn't go with her to find out what we are having. We wanted to share this moment together so Heidi told the doctor not to tell her what the sex of the baby was. Instead, she had the doctor write the sex of the baby on the sonogram and put it in an sealed envelope. Heidi then took the envelope to a friends house to hold until I came home the next evening.
The next evening when I came home from the conference, our friend, Shareen came over to give us the good news and here is what she did to make it special. She decorated our kitchen with a few surprises seen below. It included pink and blue balloons, a cake with pink and blue decorations, an envelope that read 'open first' and a bag with a note that read 'open after opening the envelope.
